This variant tells you what to aim for before the cards are dealt. A Mystery Bonus wheel spins before each new hand and lands on a specific target, anything from a simple pair of jacks up to a royal flush. Matching that target during the round earns a bonus payout on top of whatever the hand itself already pays.

Knowing the target in advance is the interesting part, because it introduces information into a game that normally offers none until the cards arrive. A round targeting two pair and a round targeting a flush are different propositions, and a player who checks the wheel before deciding holds has something to work with that no other variant in this range provides.

Whether it should change your play is a fair question. The base pay table still governs most of the value, so chasing an unlikely target at the expense of a solid made hand would generally be poor reasoning. But where two holds are close in value, knowing that one of them lines up with the wheel's target is a legitimate tiebreaker.

The bonus sits on top of the usual hand ranking payouts rather than replacing them, so a hand matching the target pays twice: once for what it is, once for matching. That structure means the feature can only add, never subtract.

In multi-hand play the wheel's target presumably applies across the round, which would make a target-aligned hold considerably more valuable than in single-hand play.
